Viral contamination testing has become a recognised and important part of diagnostic animal screening and PCR tests are a key method for detecting viruses and other organisms contaminating cell cultures, as well as detecting them in infected tissues.

Surrey Diagnostics use the latest ‘real time’ PCR testing methods, we can screen and identify all of the most common cell contaminating viruses and Mycoplasma species. The full list of viruses and other organisms we can screen for are shown in the table below.
