In the March 05 issue of RCVS News, the Royal College has issued a warning to veterinary practices that they should regularly carry out MRSA testing.

Practices that wish to heed this warning can send samples from
appropriate sites to our laboratory for rapid accurate testing.

(these include table and bench surfaces, apparatus, staff and animals)

Samples can be sent in the post on transport swabs which are available from us if
you do not have any in your practice.

Samples should be sent within 24 hours of sampling and results can be available
within 24 hours of receipt of your samples at our laboratory
